About Gir National Park
Blessed with the conducive habitat
of dry scrublands and open deciduous forests, Gir Forest National
Park shelters about 350 Asiatic lions. These lions are the only
ones left in the world to be found in their natural habitat. Established
as a National park in 1965, it is considered as one of the most
protected areas in Asia due to its supported species. With these
valiant efforts they have managed to breed about 180 lions since
inception. It's total area is 1412 km2 ad is located about 65km
to the south-east of Junagadh city of the Junagadh district in
the Kathiawar peninsula of Gujrat state, India. |

Evening Departure for Rajkot |

Departure in the evening at 8.00pm for Rajkot by Saurashtra Mail
from Mumbai Central. |

Arrive at Rajkot |

Arrive Rajkot by 10.30am Transfer to Sasan Gir by car –
(160 km. approx) 3hrs
Lunch at the resort . After some rest visit Somnath Temple &
Diu Beach
Return to the resort for dinner and overnight stay. |

Jungle Safari |

Leave early morning for Jungle Safari. Return to resort for breakfast.
Some free time for relaxation After Lunch, again we shall leave
for a jungle safari at around 2:00 pm. Overnight stay at the forest
resort. |

to Rajkot to
