Being wild life enthusiasts and great animal lovers, Kenya was like a dream destination. But Africa, Africans, language, food, how to book over the net, how do you trust unknown Africans and so many doubts were clouding our minds and kind of delaying our trip. Just then Jungle Lore announced their venturing into Kenya after successfully fulfilling dreams of numerous people of experiencing wild life in India. We were excited yet had apprehensions, we had great previous experience of going to Ranthambhore with them, yet Kenya was an alien, completely unexplored territory, the Jungle Lore team was capable and had necessary enthusiasm to tide over any challenge that can arise while taming the wild Kenya. Something in us and something in them made us trust them with our 8 days of adventure. Tickets were booked, itinerary planned, hotels reserved and then the time came for taking the yellow fever shots, which are mandatory. Jungle Lore helped here too and we could go through this process very smoothly.
Flight was 14 hours late but we were cool and relaxed as Jungle Lore team managed to get us booking in one of the Nairobi hotels though it was not a part of the itinerary. It kind of tweaked the schedule as everything had got upset due to this delay and all this happened overnight. We could focus exclusively on the fun and excitement part without bothering about the nitty gritties and other formalities associated with traveling to an hitherto unknown territory.
The 8 days of the trip went like a dream. We were constantly packing, unpacking, getting into our safari cars, getting into the jungle admiring animals, photographing them, discussing them and thoroughly satiating our quest for wild life. Needless to say, We could do this as we were not bothered about any formalities or arrangements. We had two young children with us, aged 11 yrs and 9 yrs respectively but the trip was so well and perfectly organized that we ONLY enjoyed. The hotels were extremely superior and being vegetarians our concerns of getting decent veggie food was unfounded as all of these places had a delectable veggie menu on offer which came as a pleasant surprise. The on and off photography tips from Gaurav were of course, an added advantage.
Kudos to Jungle Lore team for making this one of the best and truly amazing trips of our life. We would definitely trust Jungle Lore with all our future adventures even to completely unknown terrains !!!
