Tadoba National Park
Tadoba’s southern tropical dry deciduous forest of Deccan Peninsula comprises of teak forests with bamboo thickets which shelters the 50 tigers of the reserve. It lies in Chandrapur District; and is Maharashtra's oldest National Park created in 1955. It is also one of India's 28 Project Tiger Reserves. The National Park is 623 km² in area, consisting of two forested rectangles of the Tadoba and Andhari range.
Wild life in Tadoba
Along with around 50 tigers, Tadoba Tiger Reserve is a home for rare Indian wildlife such as Leopards, Sloth Bears, Gaur, Nilgai, Wild Dogs, Hyenas, Civet and Jungle cats, and species of deer and antelopes- Sambar, Chital, Nilgai, Chausingha and Barking Deer. The Tadoba lake sustains the Marsh Crocodile, which were once common all over Maharashtra. Tadoba is also an ornithologist's paradise with a varied diversity of aquatic birdlife, and Raptors. The reserve also shelters over 70 species of spiders and butterflies.

As we arrive at Nagpur early morning, a three hours drive takes us to Tadoba National Park. We transfer to the serene Svasara Resorts upon arrival. Lunch is served at the resort, post which we head for our first jungle safari to Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve and experience the majestic wildlife. On returning back to resort, an informative slide-show on wild habitat of Tadoba is on the cards. Dinner and overnight stay at Svasara Resorts. |
Day 2 |
Jungle Safari |

The day starts early as we leave for a morning jungle safari. Upon return, breakfast is served. Post some leisure time, and after lunch at the resort, we leave for another exciting jungle safari. Overnight stay at the resort. |
Day 3 |
Post morning safari, leave for Nagpur. |

Leave for early morning jungle safari. Depart for Nagpur post lunch. Take the evening flight back to Mumbai. |
