As the name suggests, its time to realize your facebook dreams; for the ones who aren’t facebook junkies lets elaborate: Jungle Lore announces a unique event where in one would have a chance to experience whats it like to be a villager for a day along with an adventure activity of 300 feet river crossing on the banks of Patalganga.

This event is held at “Khalcha Karad” village a small town near Panvel where Jungle Lore team welcomes you at a pottery studio with a bunch of activities planned. By the banks of Patal Ganga, Karad village provides window into a way of life- which is unseen and unheard for the Mumbaikar with a fast paced lifestyle.


Activities :
Farming:

Try your hand at the plough and see what it takes to feed the fields. Agriculture is one of the most prominent professions in our country, and our guest would be able to dirty their hands and experience what is it like to be a farmer for a day. In agriculture, transplanting is the technique of moving a plant from one location to another. Paddy is frequently grown using this technique all over India. Our guests would learn about various such techniques and get a peek at the scenes of the farm.
Rear a Cow:

We need not stress on the importance and the service that our “Gau Mata” extends to us. Learn about what goes on behind the rearing a cow and keeping it healthy so that it provides us in all its humility. Try your hands at various aspects form feeding a cow to milking one.
Pottery and Clay workshop:

Our host Mr. Satish Joshi welcomes us in his studio where in he will elaborate on basics of Pottery covering aspects from Clay selection and composition to Baking the article. One can also try their hands on the wheel and get a pot of their own.

Warli Painting:

Warli paintings are a portrayal of Warli culture which represents one of the best examples of Man – Environment interaction. Warli tribes though illiterate know how to live in harmony with nature better than any urban being. The paintings are focussed on depicting such harmony. Satish Joshi, the host of the show is also a noted Warli painter. He will demonstrate and explain the Warli painting style and its philosophy to the visitors.
River Crossing :

Feel your adrenaline pump as you cross 300 feet of the mighty Patalganga river with a zip-line (also known as a flying fox) .

Meeting Point
6.00 am sharp near Swami Narayan Temple, opp.Dadar station east
   
6.30am
Leave for Panvel in a non ac Charted Bus. Breakfast will be served enroute.
8:30 am
Arrive in Panvel, at the Village where Mr. Joshi will welcome the group in his studio.
The activities are varied and many including pottery, Warli, farming, cattle rearing, bullock cart ride, village walk and boating. These activities will be conducted simultaneously.
1:00 pm
We all assemble at the studio for Lunch.
Activities will continue later on.
5:30 PM
Assemble at the studio to share your experiences over a cup of hot tea and some bhajjis
6:00 PM
Departure for Mumbai
