Dear Member,
Wish you all a very prosperous and satisfactory 2011!
We feel older everyday when we review the work we have done - but we feel younger as we rest on our laurels. 2010 was the year Jungle Lore decided to go up the hill with new destinations and an ever growing customer base.
This edition of The Beam covers the quiet wonder of one of the new destinations we introduced in 2010 - Pench. We also talk about some of the lesser predators in India. Wild Dog diaries is a film about the Indian Dhole - an endangered species that has received little attention from conservationists and seems to survive only in the shadow of the tiger. The creature feature section talks about Jackals - predators or scavengers that can easily be spotted in Pench.
The feature photographer for this month is Tejas Abhyankar - of course he doesn't need introduction as I'm sure many of you would have travelled with him on Jungle Lore trips.
Don't forget to flip to the upcoming events, and see what you can squeeze into your vacations well in advance. If you have something you'd like to share with Jungle Lore members, or a word of advice for the newsletter team, keep us posted on newsletter.junglelore@gmail.com.
Enjoy!
