Dear Member,
With the mercury rising, and no sight of the monsoons round
the corner, Jungle Lore is all set to enjoy the last four
weeks in wild-life parks across the country before they
shut on 30th June. In peak summers, visibility is better
and so are the sightings because of water holes drying up.
We've had amazing sightings in Ranthambhore, Bandhavgarh,
Tadoba, Kanha and Pench, not just of the majestic tiger,
but also of Wild Dogs, Leopards, the colorful Golden Orioels,
Indian Pittas, Paradise Fly-Catchers that migrate this season.
Jump to the upcoming events page to find and book your trip.
Remember these are the last trips of this season.
But the fun doesn't end with the closure of the national
parks. As the monsoons set in, it would be the perfect time
to start treks and adventure activities in Sahyadris and
we're working hard to make the schedule interesting and
unique. July - September is also the time to explore the
mystical land of Ladakh. Hitch a trip to Ladakh to enjoy
the Ladakh Music confluence 2010 from July 15th to 18th.
And that brings us back to The Beam - the June edition
brings to you tips and tricks on photography by none other
than the photo guru himself - Mr. Manohar Desai, director
of the National Institute of Photography. We also have a
sneak-peak into the life of Krushnaa Patil, the youngest
Indian girl to have scaled Mount Everest and and is ready
to set the record as the first Indian to conquer the Seven
Summits.
Hope you enjoy the rest of our regular colums, and keep
us posted on your comments and suggestions for The Beam.
Enjoy!
