Dear Member,
Have you ever thought of a croc as an endangered species?
Exactly! For the May edition of the Beam, we got Suyash
Katdare to write about the critically endangered Gharials
of the Chambal river. He has successfully lead the latest
expeditions to survey the Gharial population and is considered
to be an expert in this field. We also have a tiger lover
and regular wildlife tourist, Ayush, talking about how tourism
has helped India's tiger population.
The May edition also brings an exciting new column - "Snapshots"
- where you can see a brief about Junglelore's latest activities.
Hope you enjoy our other regular features as well - read
about how India's locals have a legacy of forest conservation
and are eager to cooperate with the government in their
endeavors, and feast your eyes on Saran Vaid's African wildlife
photography in the Feature Photographer section.
We appreciate any feedback from our readership, so do get
in touch if you have any suggestions!
Enjoy!
