Dear Member,
From experiencing wildlife to Himalayan terrain! In June, Jungle Lore finds itself straddled on a strange horse - with the wildlife season coming to a close and the Himalayan traveling & monsoon events picking up high demand, there's a little bit of everything for everyone.
This month, The Beam covers not only the raging grand finale of the wildlife season, but also news from Ladakh - our first trip of the season, to how-to's of high altitude acclimatization. Flip to the snapshots section to see pictures of our recent visits and read about the breathtaking impacts of visiting Ladakh in an article by Ayush and Shivani. We also have an article about Bibhas Amonkar - one of Mumbai's most passionate wildlife guru.
For the regular columns, we're back on terra-firma this month, covering a not-so-threatened mammal in the Creature Feature section - the fox; and talk about 5 little-known facts about some of the most historical expeditions. Our feature photographer for the month is Desh Bandhu Vaid, who has been photographing in Ranthmabhore over a period of fourteen years!
Do flip to the upcoming events for some exciting trips to Kenya and Ladakh: we have designed special trips overlapping festivals and multi-sports activities. And don't forget to share your opinions with Jungle Lore by dropping us an email on newsletter@junglelore.net.
Enjoy!
