Dear Member,
Greetings! October comes to us not only as the festive season, but also as the start of the wildlife season as most of the National parks open their gates to visitors. We talked to Vidya Athreya about the Waghoba project on Leopards and bring to you an article on the latest insights into leopard behavior.
We also have an article about the Agumbe Rainforest Research Station founded by award winning conservationist Romulus Whitaker. The regular features of the newsletter cover interesting facts about water - the most important resource of the planet, but which is sadly taken for granted - and raptors, or birds of prey.
Hope you enjoy the pictures in the feature photograph section by Nitin Mehendale, and don't forget to click to the upcoming events to help you plan your vacation well in advance. If you have something you'd like to share with Jungle Lore members, or a word of advice for the newsletter team, keep us posted on newsletter: junglelore@gmail.com
Enjoy!
