About Tadoba National Park - Monsoon Special

Tadoba’s southern tropical dry deciduous forest of Deccan Peninsula comprises of teak forests with bamboo thickets which shelters the 50 tigers of the reserve. It lies in Chandrapur District; and is Maharashtra's oldest National Park created in 1955. It is also one of India's 28 Project Tiger Reserves. The National Park is 623 km² in area, consisting of two forested rectangles of the Tadoba and Andhari range. Along with around 50 tigers, Tadoba Tiger Reserve is a home for rare Indian wildlife such as Leopards, Sloth Bears, Gaur, Nilgai, Wild Dogs, Hyenas, Civet and Jungle cats, and species of deer and antelopes- Sambar, Chital, Nilgai, Chausingha and Barking Deer. The Tadoba lake sustains the Marsh Crocodile, which were once common all over Maharashtra. Tadoba is also an ornithologist's paradise with a varied diversity of aquatic birdlife, and Raptors. The reserve also shelters over 70 species of spiders and butterflies.

   
  Travel Itinerary
   
Day
Departure for Nagpur
  Arrive at Nagpur early morning and drive for 3 hours to Tadoba National Park and transfer to Serai Tyger Resort. After lunch, jungle safari to Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve and experience majestic wildlife. On returning back to resort, we shall have an informative slideshow on Wild habitat of Tadoba. & overnight stay at Serai Tyger.
Day
Jungle Safari
Leave early morning for jungle safari. Return to resort for breakfast. Some free time for relaxation. After Lunch, again we shall leave for a jungle safari at around 3:00 pm. Overnight stay at the forest resort.
Day
Post morning safari (Optional), leave for Nagpur.

Note: People can also travel by train. The plan gets altered with 2 additional
nights in the train.

Arrival at Mumbai
Arrive at Mumbai by afternoon. Tour Concludes with some wild memories

Leaving your garbage anywhere in the forest is not allowed
Smoking and Alchol in the forest is not allowed
Your seat will be confirmed only after full payment for the tour.
Gypsy Safari Bookings and Train Bookings run 90 days in advance.
For last minute entrants only tatkal tickets are available which
incur additional cost.
