A journey to Kaziranga is an invitation to experience one of India’s most remarkable wildlife landscapes. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Kaziranga National Park is famed for its thriving population of the Greater One-Horned Rhinoceros, while its diverse grasslands, wetlands and forests provide habitat to elephants, wild water buffalo, swamp deer and an impressive variety of resident and migratory birds.
The park’s ever-changing landscape makes every safari different. Early morning and afternoon jeep safaris offer opportunities to explore its wilderness and observe wildlife in their natural surroundings. Beyond the iconic rhino, the park is also known for its rich birdlife and the possibility of encountering several species of mammals and reptiles.
With the Eastern Himalayas forming a dramatic backdrop, Kaziranga combines exceptional wildlife experiences with the beauty of Assam’s landscapes, making it an unforgettable beginning to your Northeast India journey.
Meghalaya, meaning “Abode of the Clouds,” is a land of mist-covered hills, cascading waterfalls, lush forests and vibrant Khasi culture. This journey takes you beyond Shillong to discover some of the region’s most spectacular natural and cultural landscapes.
Explore the ancient Mawphlang Sacred Forest, protected for generations by traditional Khasi beliefs, and admire the sweeping valleys and dramatic cliffs of Laitlum Canyon. Continue to Cherrapunjee, where waterfalls, caves and verdant hills create some of Meghalaya’s most striking scenery. A scenic bamboo trek adds an element of adventure before the journey continues to Dawki and the remarkably clear waters of the Umngot River.
The experience also includes a visit to Mawlynnong, celebrated for its pristine surroundings and traditional village life, along with a Living Root Bridge and panoramic views towards Bangladesh. Meghalaya offers a beautiful blend of nature, adventure, culture and slow travel.
