Arrive at Leh Airport (11,500 ft) and transfer to your hotel. Acclimatization is key today, so rest, sip on welcome tea/coffee, and let your body adjust to the altitude. Spend the day at leisure.

Drive Time: 2–3 hours
Visit the Sangam—the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar Rivers. En route, stop at the revered Gurudwara Pathar Sahib and the gravity-defying Magnetic Hill. Return to Leh to explore the Indian Army’s Hall of Fame, and enjoy panoramic views from Shanti Stupa and Leh Palace.

Drive over Khardung La Pass (18,380 ft), one of the world’s highest motorable roads. In Nubra Valley, visit the Diskit Monastery and its iconic Maitreya Buddha statue. Later, explore the Hunder Sand Dunes and enjoy an optional ride on a double-humped Bactrian camel.
