About Panna National Park
Spread across approximately 542 sq. km. in Madhya Pradesh, Panna National Park is a thriving landscape of teak forests, grasslands, and the scenic Ken River. Once known for its depleted tiger population, the park is now a remarkable conservation success story, with a steadily increasing number of tigers. Alongside the elusive big cats, the park is home to leopards, sloth bears, Indian wolves, hyenas, and a rich variety of herbivores like chital and nilgai. The riverine ecosystem supports gharials and mugger crocodiles, while over 200 bird species add to its biodiversity. The flora ranges from dry deciduous forests to riverine vegetation.
Daywise Itinerary
Arrive at Gwalior Airport and proceed by road to Panna National Park. On arrival, check in to your wildlife lodge by dinner and relax amidst the serene forest surroundings.
Begin your day early with a morning jeep safari into the park, exploring its diverse terrain and tracking wildlife with expert naturalists.
In the afternoon, head out for another jeep safari, increasing your chances of spotting tigers, leopards, and other wildlife.
Overnight stay at the lodge.
Another exciting day in the jungle. Early morning safari for prime wildlife sightings and birdwatching opportunities. Relax at the lodge after the safari. Afternoon safari to explore different zones and habitats within the park. Overnight stay at the lodge.
